...when you shift to fourth just so you can downshift to third before you come to your turn.

I frequently just downshift/upshift in traffic to practice heel-toe when it's getting boring. Jalops!

If I'm in stop-and-go, I'll let a little gap build in front of me and then see how long I can go without touching the brakes. Even better is crawling in second and easing off the throttle completely as well. I might be a complete nerd (and thankfully this isn't part of my everyday drive), but I make it a little game or challenge.

I do that too with the gap. I try to make sure that I brake/clutch almost never in stop and go highway traffic. And with my Dinan exhaust, running up a little bit in 2nd and then lifting results in little pops/snorts on overrun. Totally nerdtastic.

Here here.
On a semi related note:
You know what really grinds my gears?
When I don't push in my clutch when I shift

I've got a Blipshift shirt with that picture one it. I'm constantly surprised how many people just don't get it...

Yeah, I do that a lot...

I absolutely do this. Driving a manual transmission in traffic is just a "how long can I not touch the brakes" game.

I have to admit that I'm guilty of judging people who say they like driving a manual, but buy automatics because they drive in traffic... Outwardly, I'm very understanding, but inside, I'm thinking "guess you're not Jalop enough". Forgive me, OPPO.

I need video of these pops and snorts.
I'm finally getting an exhaust for mine (going the budget route):

Ever heard one in person?

I bet you could get someone to custom-make them for you.
I've got these:
